‘Author Talk Interview Session’ was created to promote fellow authors and their work. The interview questions will spotlight the guest writer, show them love, peace, and respect by allowing them to tell you about their books, other projects and plans to promote. It is also designed to give an author who reads the blog interview posted, insights on how they can grow and share in this huge literary field. This blog interviews will be posted on Facebook, Goodreads, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and NetworkedBlogs.
RAVEN’S MISSION STATEMENT: I firmly believe God’s way of doing business is the best method. When we join hands with each other it not only helps us learn and grow it creates bonds between fellow authors. As team players, we learn to share instead of competing, grasping and grabbing for recognition and financial gain.
GUEST: ANDREA HINTZ
I truly love interacting with Andrea. She is a delightful young lady who has matured and accomplished very high expectations in her seventeen years of life. I believe with all my heart that Andrea and her books are going to go far. Young adults will love her Tesoro Series and I can’t wait to see if her dreams for movie deals manifest. I pray the best for her and I know you will too. Enjoy this review.
Hi! My name is Andrea Hintz and I am seventeen years old. I have always enjoyed writing. I started college at the age of thirteen and recently graduated at seventeen with a Bachelor’s in Public Management and Administration. Having endless stacks of books, I have a particular interest in fiction genres that have lots of adventure and take me to other places of the world. As of right now I have written five books including the books in The Tesoro Series. My faith in God is very important to me and I feel very thankful for the gifts that he has blessed me with.
Thank you, Raven Price, for inviting me to your blog for this interview!
Andrea Hintz (copy pasted) questionnaire answers:
- What genre do you write?
I mainly write fiction books that fall under the action/adventure category. I really love to experiment with and study different types of writing.
- What inspired you to write?
I started working on my first book when I was twelve years old after an idea for a story suddenly struck me. After being an avid reader for so long, I had a strong desire to create my own story. I started writing the first few chapters in a notebook and then began typing it up on the computer. Books were always an important part of who I was growing up. I never went anywhere without one and was always tucking them away into my purses and backpacks. You can find all of my favorites listed on my Goodreads account. I just loved the way everything was described in these books and how real the characters felt to me. I never did publish that very first book that I wrote yet, but I would like to edit it now that I am older and publish it later.
- What have you written?
I have written five books. The first book was the one that I started in the notebook years ago. The second book I wrote was “Tesoro: Secrets of the Hidden Treasure.” I loved the idea of treasure hunting so much and always planned from the beginning that it would be a trilogy. The next book I wrote was the second book in The Tesoro Series, “Tesoro II: Secrets of a Captain’s Journal.” Then I wrote, “Tesoro III: Secrets of a Fallen Crew” (soon to be released). After finishing the third book in the series, I have been trying to decide whether I will continue on with a fourth book or not. We will just have to see where the first three go! I have also written a short story that is a prequel to The Tesoro Series that I am planning on releasing soon. The newest book that I have written is an action/adventure spy book that I just finished.
- How many books do you have published?
So far I have published two books which are, “Tesoro: Secrets of the Hidden Treasure” and “Tesoro II: Secrets of a Captain’s Journal.” “Tesoro III: Secrets of a Fallen Crew” is going to be released within the next few months.
- Who is your publisher?
The publishers that I have gone through are CreateSpace and Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). They are such amazing services and I feel so blessed and lucky to be working with them.
- What are you promoting at the moment?
At the moment, I am promoting The Tesoro Series as a whole, but I tend to put an emphasis on the newest book available. Right now, that would be, “Tesoro II: Secrets of a Captain’s Journal.”
- Do you enjoy meeting people and promoting your work?
When I began the process of getting my books published and setting up my social media accounts, I had no idea how many amazing people I would end up meeting, both inside and outside of the writing community. You, Raven Price, are an example of one of the many blessings that God has put in my path along the way. It is crazy because a couple of years ago, the idea of talking to one of my favorite authors would have been absolutely, breathtakingly unbelievable to me, and now I am actually friends with several of them. I still have frequent moments of awe. It has definitely been an amazing journey and I know that God has much more in store.
- Would you travel and do speaking engagements to promote your book(s)?
If I had the money and the resources to do it, I would. But I am a normal person with a job and limited funds! Luckily, I am able to do virtual engagements online and meet my readers through social media and emails.
- List some places you would like to visit and meet fans?
If I could, I would visit people all around the United States and the world! It would be fun to visit one of the places where my books take place someday like Italy (Tesoro 1), England (Tesoro 2), and Bora Bora (Tesoro 3).
10. Tell us your successful methods of promoting?
Pray! All things are possible through Jesus Christ. I pray very frequently about my books. Also, reaching out to people and talking to them can be effective. I do this through social media. I mainly use Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Goodreads. Promoting is definitely not an easy task. But it is important to stay persistent. So here are my main methods: Pray, be faithful, and reach out.
- Are you planning to write more books?
No matter where my books do or do not take me, I can honestly say that I will always write more books. No matter where I am in life, no matter how old I am, no matter what people say, writing is a part of me, like breathing. I write when I am happy, I write when I am stressed. I write when I have time and I write when I don’t. You should see how many words I can write when I am trying to get my mind off of the stresses of the day! Based off of how much life I have ahead of me, I see many, many, many books in my future.

I love hearing from my readers! It always makes my year!
If your book gets chosen for a movie, who would you like to play the main characters?
Oh, yes, this is something my brother and I have been debating for a long, long time! The main characters in this book are Daphne Bleau (the main character), Bailey Grant (Daphne’s cousin), Jack Henley (the cousin’s intern), and Mikey Grant (the mysterious uncle who has been gone for years and has made a sudden comeback). In case you haven’t already noticed, I have my face on the covers of the Tesoro books. It is not because I was full of myself but it was because I did not have access to any models, haha! Because of that, my brother tells me that I should play Daphne since the face is already there and it has been ingrained in the readers’ minds. We’ll see. 😉
I know what the characters’ faces look like in my mind and I have even had dreams about them. I am always watching actors and actresses on TV, trying to see who could play the roles of Bailey and Jack, but I have not quite found them yet. Their characters are so unique. I would do a casting call and find incredible new talent for these roles. Wouldn’t it be great to help fulfill someone’s dreams and help their acting career take off?
Now Mikey is the character that is the most debatable. My brother insists that Vince Vaughn should play him because he thinks it would be hilarious. I always disagree but I know deep down that he is right and it would be incredibly fun to have him play the character just because of Vince Vaughn’s acting past and the character he has already established for himself. I always envisioned someone like Owen or Luke Wilson. Mikey is sort of a serious character with a mysterious past. Regardless of that fact, every time we see Vince Vaughn on TV, my brother says, “That’s the uncle in your book.” We’ll see who wins that battle when the time comes…most likely my brother.
Then there are also the characters of Johnny Higgins and Delia Laven, who are the characters shown in the pirate flashbacks throughout the series. They have such a strong presence in the books. Johnny Higgins is a young pirate who is a part of the crew against his will because his grandfather is the captain, and Delia Laven is the strong-willed daughter of an extremely wealthy family. The Tesoro crew eventually targets Delia’s family, which brings Johnny and Delia to finally meet. They are the core of the series and would need strong, soulful actors to play the parts. There are a lot of hidden, talented actors out there and we would need to find them!
